Bride arriving
Marriage between a man and a woman is a great gift from God, where husband and wife give themselves completely to the other person. As the Church of England Marriage Service says,

The gift of marriage brings husband and wife together in the delight and tenderness of sexual union and joyful commitment to the end of their lives.  It is given as the foundation of family life in which children are born and nurtured and in which each member of the family, in good times and in bad, may find strength, companionship and comfort, and grow to maturity in love.

We would be delighted to help you celebrate this act of commitment together. (You do not need to be churchgoers to get married in one of our churches. The Church of England has made it easier to get married in the church of your choice, even if you do not live in that parish.)

Because marriage is such a precious and special thing, we offer ‘Marriage by Design’ wedding preparation days to help couples have a happy, life-long and fulfilling marriage. At these days, between 5 and 10 couples spend time discussing different aspects of their future life together, including values, resolving conflict, in-laws, sex, finance, and children. You won’t be asked to share anything with the facilitators or other couples. The couples really rate the course highly, and are all glad to have taken time out to attend. The facilitators are experienced married couples, trained by Care for the Family to use their ‘Marriage by Design’ course.
